Express Entry is an online immigration application system which manages applications for the three (3) economic immigration programs i.e Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class. Provinces and territories can also recruit candidates from the Express Entry pool through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to meet local labour market needs. It allows people to submit a profile for consideration as a skilled immigrant and assigns a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. Candidates are placed in the Express Entry pool and those with the highest rankings are invited to apply for permanent residency.
Canada is renowned for offering an exceptional quality of education, through a wide range of programs, and being one of the most beautiful places to live and study. Every year thousands of students from across the world come to Canada to achieve their educational dreams. The study permit is a document issued that allows foreign nationals to study at designated learning institutions (DLI) in Canada. Most foreign nationals need a study permit to study in Canada. This is also a great avenue to work and eventually become a permanent resident in Canada after program completion.
Canada is an amazing country with millions of people from across the world visiting to experience all it has to offer. In 2018, Canada welcomed 21.1 million international travellers. Canada’s culture, food, and sites are just a few reasons why so many people love to visit this amazing country. A visitor visa (also called a temporary resident visa) is an official document which demonstrates that the requirements needed to enter Canada have been met.
The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa allows the parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to come to Canada as visitors for a period of up to two consecutive years at their initial visit without having to renew their status. The visa can remain valid for up to 10 years, allowing for re-entry during this period of time. The Super Visa presents older generations of a family to visit loved ones in Canada for an extended period without work rights.
One of the most important pillars of Canadian immigration is the reuniting of families. Many Canadian citizens and permanent residents have loved ones abroad that they wish they could bring to Canada. The Canadian government offers a number of ways to allow this dream to become a reality under its Family Class Sponsorship class. Canada's Family Class Sponsorship programs are some of the most generous family reunification programs in the developed world. There are a number of relationships that qualify for Family Class Sponsorship, including spouses and common-law partners, parents and grandparents, and dependent children.
Canadians are proud of their citizenship and the status, rights, and freedoms that it provides. Becoming a Canadian citizen is the ultimate goal for many immigrants. Applying for Canadian citizenship involves a formal application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), a citizenship test, and sometimes, a citizenship interview. When that process is complete, the loyalty oath is taken pledging commitment to the responsibilities and privileges of Canadian citizenship.
Provincial nomination offers a valuable route to Canadian permanent residence. The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and who are interested in settling in a particular province. Each Canadian province and territory (except Nunavut and Quebec) has its own unique Provincial Nominee Program. Each PNP has at least one immigration stream that is aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration selection system, with over 80 provincial immigration streams in total.
